PERSONAL JOURNEY
Dr Hall is the lead Senior Practitioner at Hall and Co EPS with more than 18 years of experience of working in the education system and with children and young people.
Dr Hall completed a degree in Psychological Sciences (Psychology with Neuroscience) before achieving the Post Graduate Certificate in Education, specialising in Early Years and Primary. She worked as a nursery nurse before undertaking intensive teacher training, working as a qualified teacher for a number of years. During this time, Dr Hall gained additional experience at a Special School, developing a particular interest in working with children in the Early Years with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She undertook further qualifications and training as a counsellor, and as a Youth Mentor, before being chosen to embark on the extremely rigorous and highly selective Professional Doctorate course in Education and Child Psychology.
From 2010, Dr Hall has worked within a number of Local Authority’ Educational Psychology Services and has been practising as a Senior Educational Psychologist since 2019. She has worked closely with doctoral training courses as a field work tutor to Trainee Educational Psychologists and has delivered training as a Visiting University Lecturer on topics of specific interest (e.g. EHCPs and SEND Appeals). Dr Hall also currently works as the Lead Visitor for a professional council to determine if educational courses/settings are meeting the appropriate standards, in line with relevant legislation.
Finally, Dr Hall is a mother and thoroughly enjoys balancing the joys of parenthood and working with the children of others. She has a particular passion for writing children's books and currently is creating several picture books about acceptance and belonging for young children of dual heritage.
